I don't know what the weight limit is for this but I have a huge huge Boston fern that is hanging from this. It's big and it's heavy I don't know how much it weighs but this little pulley device is absolutely amazing it's just what I needed no hassle with getting on a ladder or step stool you just pull it down also it benefits the plant because I can pull it down to the level of where the sun comes in the window.

Bought to replace pair which had rusted after 20 years in place outside. These work well - push up and the basket descends - push up again and the basket ascends. Bit clunky but seems robust and coping with heavy baskets.
